While the story was absolutely incredible, the translation from French to English made is lose something. It felt like the text wasn’t as raw as it was intended to be.

I really liked the beginning of this book and I loved the prose throughout. But around midway I just lost interest and I really hate

a vague ending

. I would certainly recommend for the writing alone.
