This was good. I thought that it said a lot of good things, had the emotion of a mother behind it, and was definitely worth the read. It’s short and sweet and I think it says what it needs to say.

Trayvon Martin R.I.P.
it has been 10 long years that you have not been on this planet. 10 years and things are starting to change but we have not made much of a difference. American fails boys like you and that is so disheartening.  It has been 10 years your parent have grieved you. 10 years since your death was the catalyst of the Black Lives
Matter Movement. 10 years you should have been on this planet living your best life. One man took that from you and he got away with you because of his race.

I’m this essay written by Sybrina shares the grief she has had over the years and how she has caught so hard to get laws changed. Now she runs a nonprofit in Trayvons name for family’s affected by gun violence. She also try’s to find solutions and help inner city youth the best she can. Trayvon might have left this world to soon but his mark has been made and he will never be forgotten.
