I was already familiar with most of the story and events, which was good because I think I picked the wrong translation for me to properly enjoy it. It became quite - dare I say it - boring to only read about war and conflict, and I feel a translation in verse might've at least given it a bit of a poetic twist. But past me really wanted to read a prose translation, so that was what I had on my shelves. Still, an utter classic that I'm happy to have finally read.
