I love T. Kingfishers writing and specifically the Paladin books. While this book was longer than the others in the series, I still really enjoyed it and felt like it earned the page count. I like that Kingfisher writes a vivid fantasy world as well as a romance in these books. Each of them has built on the other and created an amazing world.

T. Kingfisher doesn’t disappoint. I have loved every book in the Saint of Steel world and this is no exception. I especially enjoy how every book revolves around different characters and completely different settings and goals. None of it is predictable like in a lot of books that follow the same plot lines.

dragged a little bit there. a couple random plot lines that i didn’t care for, like why give us wren’s POV briefly?

liked the character complexities, enjoyed a lot of the banter. may just be a little burnt out on this series but it was like a pot of spaghetti got thrown against the wall.
