This was such a great concept and overall really well done when it came to creating the ways in which this invisibility is controlled, what Pie & her mom can get away with, how they navigate life, how they avoid interactions with visible people, etc. I really enjoyed the story as a whole. However, there were several scenes that felt like they were just included to make the book unnecessarily longer, and there were also several aspects that didn't seem to be resolved and questions that lacked answers by the end of the book. Otherwise, it was a super fast read and a solid coming of age story.

i loved the cover and the whole idea of this seemed so cool and creative but i had to make myself keep reading at first because the beginning was honestly not that great, i‘m glad i did though because it turned out to be such a sweet story and i started to genuinely like pie and began rooting for her, my freaking baby

Don’t get me wrong I really did enjoy the book but I feel like there was some things missing that could have made me enjoy it more.

This book explores themes and topics that I found really interesting and was incredibly easy/fast to read; I did not notice the time flying by.

World building and magic are very simple to understand and explained in short bursts over time, it's all pretty logical.

Loved the casual inclusion of a nonbinary side character, the lesbian rep and of course Denise, my beloved. She's a darling.

I just know as a child I would've loved this even more, the idea of being invisible to escape fear is so comforting. But this book also did a great job at showing that life is worth not hiding for and the joy of experiencing new things. There is so much more to life than just fear.

Only thing that felt off was a rushed plot towards the end, the investigator to be specific. It felt rather unfinished and could've been more fleshed out before.

The mother plot however was incredibly relatable and I like that it was handled with care and compassion for both people involved. I also appreciate that it wasn't rushed and is allowed room to breathe.

The found family aspect was beautiful too, perfect for our girl Pie. With her absent father, a whole life of being hidden and constantly moving she dearly needed a proper place to call home.

All in all a beautiful story about facing your fears and making space for yourself in the world with the people that can 'see' and love you for who you are.

This is one of the most beautifully unique books I've ever read.

This is one of my most anticipated book for 2022 and I was so lucky to be able to review it a bit early.

I absolutely adored this book and Pie as our main character who her and her mother are invisible and it's such an amazing story and it has eerie/crazy vibes that were absolutely immaculate and whoever designed this beautiful cover deserves a raise or something. I feel like it definitely captures the vibe of this book.

This is a strange book but it's so worth it.

I LOVED this. It is just my kinda brand of weird and sweet and out there. I just love Pie, Neely, Denise and Jules- their friendship and relationships grow to be the heart of this book.
