This was really cool! I actually got it because when we had pathfinder at a friend's house I saw the back of it just chilling on her desk and was interested, so I went ahead and just ordered it. xD It's really cool for someone who already draws but maybe doesn't know what they're doing. It's nice because it isn't so much a step by step but more of a "pro tips" kind of set up, which I always find infinitely more helpful. The only thing is that some of the art is kind of... lol. Like, very traditional fantasy art. Bikini clad babes and knights with huge codpieces. xDD;; But the info is really good, and there are still a lot of cool pieces of art inside too. I also especially liked the pose references included. Would totes recommend!

Feeling like two stars is generous, but it gets a star for the reference images it provides. But yeah this book has issues in terms of dealing with absolutes and acting like that's just how the genre works and I'm not a fan of it. Maybe it's just outdated idk. But that way of describing female characters is uncomfortable man...
And I've been laughing at the facial expressions page for hours now, they look so unnatural
