I enjoyed reading this book from the first page. I read it on kindle and listened on audiobooks (moving back and forth) and would recommend both platforms. I loved the characters! The story evoked so many emotions.

More than anything, the mother/son relationship was what got me. The religion was stronger than what I prefer to read as the ending was building, but again, their relationship and the things that were said and and the way things played out at the end were a punch to the guts. Lots of tears.
