Officially a Tandem Read denierrrrr!! YOU DONT NEED IT! This book is perfectly fine and easy to read on its own. I found myself drawn to this story and the characters authentically. So many important plot points and characters developments that I can tell are going to CRUSH me in KOA.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand the appeal of the tandem, but reading both of these (EOS & TOD) solo, I do not think it’s necessary to enjoy TOD. Chaol has always had my heart and I don’t think that has changed. I love the relationship between him and Yrene

The beginning hooked me.
The middle bored me.
The last 150 pages blew me away.
AND THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT WAS IMMACULATE!!! I was dreading to read this book since it was all about Chaol but I am so glad I read it because it really blew me away. And Yrene is by far my favorite Sarah J Maas character.
And now I am on Kingdom of Ash...God I'm scared.
