I love Geraldine. She’s the friend that dreams are made of. And Max is growing on me quite fast. Pining men, we can’t not love them.

This is a short novella with Geraldine (our gibberish queen) and Max and a birthday party. It is a little light after all the dark that has been happening for 5 books….. People may say it's not necessary but I think it adds to their character developmetn for sure and shows the heirs caring about the Vegas. Max really has a good arc in this series.
* I am writing the reviews for all the ZA books and spin offs individually after reading the whole series and that is probably for the best because I had a hard time getting through the first three books. They are not kidding that it begins as a BULLY ROMANCE and I wanted to stomp the faces of all the bullies. I felt like I was torturing myself. If you can get through those 3 books then the story really gets cooking. It will still hurt your heart and inflict serious emotional damage so if that is not what you’re looking for I would scoot on to another story. I followed the “emotional damage without spoilers reading order” ZA 1-3, Ruthless Boys 1-5, ZA 4-9 and yes you should tandem read 8 and 8.5, the Darkmore Penitentiary 1-4. I did read all the novellas before Darkmore as well and recommend them as they are quick little fun nuggets of information. I will probably add this disclaimer to all my reviews of ZA series because it is only fair to see I basically “read ahead”. If you can make it through it is a series worthy of your time based on its’ entertainment value.

With how heavy book 6 is im happy I went back and read this! Geraldine is such a wild woman and I am just loving her more and more!! This was such a cute light hearted addition to the series.
