I have a physical copy of this book but I'm so glad I listened to the audiobook. It was like listening to an extended episode of 'stand up for the classics' and I am a huge fan of the podcast. Haynes' writing is informative without be ng pretentious, is sometimes funny but always engaging and relevant. She is quickly becoming a "will always read" author for me.

A fun book, with important acknowledgements into the missing narratives of women in Greek myths. It’s a bit too much exposition for my taste, and the most convincing argument, at least the one with the most evidence (ie Medea) was so brief I was disappointed. But otherwise enjoyable.

ILL due back, and I'm not interested enough to actually finish it.

I really enjoyed the tone. Could have benefited from reproductions of the paintings and art that is being described.
