I don’t usually like dual perspective but this book did it SO well. It took me a minute but I really enjoyed the difference in writing styles. I read this book as a nice breath of rom com ness and it delivered just that. Main couple was compelling and developed  so naturally!

Absolutely loved this, read it in one sitting. The beginning felt a lot more drawn out compared to the third act, where it felt very fast-paced. The plot was definitely convenient but I don't really mind cause I enjoyed what it was, a cheesy, feel-good romance.
handles dealing with someone who has been emotionally abused really well. really admire how O'Leary wrote Leon to be so understanding of Tiffy's PTSD and panic disorder

Trigger warning for emotional abuse, gaslighting and toxic relationships.

A heartwarming story that tackles compatibility, heartbreak, trauma and ultimately love.

this was not, in fact, quick and lighthearted, but that's ok because it made me cry like an infant.

Absolutely loved this book. The portrayal of PTSD from an abusive relationship was realistic and heartbreaking.
I also have a pet-peeve about overly quirky characters, but I actually really liked Tiffy, she was a decent amount of quirky. Leon was lovely from the beginning, although admittedly I had a little trouble getting used to the way his monologue was worded, but I got used to it as I kept reading.

Great read, one of my favorites this year!

I had read The No-Show and loved it, then I read The Road Trip and felt really mixed about that. So I didn't know how this was going to land, I'm so glad that I enjoyed it so much!

It started a bit slow ( although I wouldn't call it a slow burn) for me as I found the initial premise a bit absurd. I also found Leon's inner dialogue a bit robotic but he seemed so warm with the patients he works and interacts with but as the story progressed the way he is and his inner voice makes more and more sense. I felt the same with Tiffany at first she seemed a bit off but again understanding how her relationship was with her ex things about her begin to click.

I love the getting to know each other by sharing the same space, and the notes and every thing before they eventually meet. I even enjoyed how they took some common rom-com tropes and used them in a way that wasn't too absurd or frustrating.

I really enjoyed this book overall.

An absolute delight of a read. A beautifully written, witty, slow-burn romance. You know what’s coming and yet it doesn’t disappoint.

I really liked this book and how it tackles some heavy subject like abusive relationship and the overwhelming about of falsely accused minorities in the prison system. A really cute but also important story. I recommend it but be warned it deals with some heavy subjects and there isn’t any spice.
