It has some heavy themes, so it's not completely the "turn your brain off" kind of fun read that I usually pick. While that did stress me out a bit, the stress was a sign that I got to care about the characters and their story which is a good thing! As other reviews pointed out, it does take a long time for the relationship to develop, but I was invested in both of their individual storylines enough that I still enjoyed the part before the romance. The epilogue was so cute it had me almost jealous of a fictional character lmao.

5 solid stars

I just loved this book. It was so cute, warm, and exactly what I needed. I loved Tiffy and Leon, the whole cast of characters, and could not put this book down.

Initially I didn’t love the writing style for Leon but I quickly got used to it and didn’t notice it as much or mind it as the book went on.

This story, these characters-the author put you right there with them. I loved her writing style and can’t wait to read more of her books. One of the best books I’ve read so far this year.

More detailed review to come!

For now, I just want to say that I really did adore this book. I technically have it at about 4.5 stars, and the only good reason I have taken off 0.5 stars is because of some plot issues along with Leon's diction/writing style drove me a little nutty at times. Other than that, a very solid read and I will be thinking my review over for the next few days before posting :)
