A primera vista, esta novela puede parecer la típica novela de época, con sus costumbres sociales y vestidos victorianos, pero si logramos leer más allá de sus líneas, de lo que está escrito, nos encontramos con una gran riqueza de personajes, así como una fuerte crítica a la sociedad del momento. Me fascinó la manera tan detallada en la que se reflejan todas las personalidades y sus diferentes intereses.

Además, la redacción de Austen es delicada y está muy bien cuidada, pero al mismo tiempo es irónica y está cargada de humor, lo que hace que la novela sea exquisita. Si tengo que ponerle alguna pega, diré que no le di cinco estrellas porque quizás me faltó un poco de pasión entre algunos personajes. A pesar de este pequeño detalle, la recomiendo, sin ninguna duda, a todo el mundo, sin importar la edad que tengáis.

Jane Austen just isn’t for me. I couldn’t get into it and felt like I was forcing myself. Maybe it’s the writing or something else but I just can’t get into it. Love this book if you love it. Just not for me.

Loved the beginning and ending but it definitely lagged around the 200 page mark.. didn’t care much about Lydia’s subplot and quite a bit of time was spent on it

When I finished Sense and Sensibility I was sure I liked it more than Pride and Prejudice. Now I can't imagine what I was thinking. I'll have to read them in the opposite order next time.
