Book #6 completed for Book Riot Challenge 2017: " Read a book published between 1900 and 1950."
Thought it was about time I read this classic. The illustrations were beautiful and it was a lovely little tale that differs quite a bit from the movie that I've always loved. I'm sure there are lessons and metaphors galore that will need some researching.

This is a really cute fairy tale, and I'm surprised by how modern it felt, considering it was written almost 120 years ago.

And, considering how well I knew this story and that it is such a classic, I'm a bit ashamed that I didn't read it until now.
