This book is basically an autobiography/Interview of an Italian Jew sent to Auschwitz. He describes the horrors he went through and the struggle for survival when everyone is your enemy. Everyone is hungry and desperate so there’s nobody you can trust. Incredible story and your jaw will surely be open the whole time you read this

Horrifying but touching true story, definitely worth of reading. Actually in my opinion, everyone should read some of these Auschwitz-related books at least once, just to understand what happened during the WW II. Inside the Gas Chambers is a good, realistic description of all horrors that Jewish people had to witness. Victims of the holocaust have never forgotten what happened and so shouldn't we.

The Sonderkommando men were the ones who saw it all, and disproportionally survived their ghastly ordeal in Auschwitz compared to the other ‘Haftlinge’ at the close of the war (for all good measure, during the war the Nazi’s made sure the Sonderkommando (comprised of several hundred) was ‘renewed’ ie sent to the gaschambers every 3-4 months right up till the end of the war); for this the Sonderkommando men were much criticized and maligned after the war, but ironically these testimonies should be read and reread carefully as they make you a witness of the Nazi horrors committed in the center of Christian Europe in the middle of the twentieth century.
