This was an interesting read but one that never really connected for me. I found it really hard to get into at the start - I just found Park & Olivia to be unlikeable. Once more characters were introduced, I found the story to be more intriguing.

There’s a lot going on in the story and many narrators - at times, it does feel like there is too much going on. The narrators didn’t feel like they were unreliable; instead, it felt more like they were untrustworthy. All the characters have secrets and while some were relatively benign, others were ones that had horrible consequences. I did get sucked in because I wanted to know what everyone was hiding, but the ending, while shocking, just flopped.

I read this as an audiobook & I thought the narration was well done.

I listened to this book as an audiobook, but if I were reading it, I would have been up all night because this is definitely a page turner. This was a "who did it?" all the way to the end. And I didn't see that last piece coming together. There were probably clues along the way that I didn't pick up on but I kind of like it that way anyway, because it leaves more surprises for me. This was my first book by this author and now I want to put them in my thriller rotation.

I wonder how long before I'll be able to sleep again? This was a disturbing story which makes me wonder about all authors everywhere and all humans and what secrets they have.

Also the heart wrenching description of infertility and treatments made me cry.

Also I devoured this story because if I hadn't wrapped it all up for another night I light not be able to leave my house after dark again.

People are complicated, none more than these characters.
