It was pretty good. Overall, I feel like there's a lot of jumping around from one plot point to another. It seems like things happen really suddenly and then it moves onto the next thing. It's not a bad thing, I appreciate resolution, it just feels jumpy sometimes.

I just love the balance of plot/action, romance and spice/steam in this book. This author is perfect for my taste and i enjoyed every page of this book. I usually like enemy-to-lover but i like the relationship in this series.

Very good book. I liked the story better than the first, and can't wait for the next book in the series!

I read the wrong book on the plane...I meant to start with book one in this series but I guessed wrong about which book was book 1. Even so, I had no trouble catching up (I didn't realize I had guessed wrong for 10 chapters or so till Bones actually showed up) and I enjoyed this book...fun, light read. I am going to go ahead and go back and read book 1 now, I think. I can't take too many of these fluffy paranormal books in a row but one here and there I find fun.

Mmmmmmm. I devoured this little number in three hours. My poor heart, body, and nether regions feel like they have thoroughly been ransacked and I enjoyed it immensely. What can I say? I'm a Bones fanatic. I'd happily claim the title of groupie number one except he's a fictional character and I'm happily married. None the less this alpha male leaves little to be desired. Once again I found myself catapulted along a thrilling adventure that was dangerous, sexy, and fun. This series is addictive so I give any beginners a clear warning that once you crack open the first page, you may find your expected duties seem less important. I found myself justifying three hours of sleep before a 16 hour day! Maybe I need an intervention. But I loved the new powerful, confident Cat and I found myself enjoying her team. Throw Bones in the mix and I really couldn't help myself. The kind of trance I found myself in is what book junkies look for. It's my fix. So I scratched that itch.

I do love me some Kat and Bones. At the end of book one I feared they were done. I should have known better. In this book the reader learns more about the ways of the vampire. The reader learns about secret government agencies. It gets quite interesting.

01/02/20 Listened to the audiobook. A great couple of days of exciting entertainment.

Parts of this book were tedious, like the enmity between Annette and Cat and all the snarking and fighting that went with it, but for the most part it was a fun read. The sex alternated between boring and hilarious, I nearly died when Cat described the aftermath of one romp as like "being hit by lightning between then legs" or something similar. I would have skipped the sex bits altogether if not for those (probably unintentional) moments of hilarity.
