Loved the language.

Ministry of Time surprised me in the best way. I went in expecting something like a government time-travel thriller, and yeah, some of that’s in there—but what I got was way more emotional and thoughtful than I expected. It’s a quiet book in a lot of ways. Big ideas, but handled with a kind of softness I really appreciated.

It leans into the personal side of sci-fi—the kind that makes you reflect on memory, time, and what we choose to hold on to. It’s not trying to dazzle you with twists or over-explain the tech. It's only about time travel in a post facto way. It’s more about people, grief, love, and how fragile it all is.

It hit me in that same spot that like Station Eleven did. It’s about connection as much as it is about time travel. And honestly, it made me think about legacy and what it would be like to leave the world to travel forward to a future where one is a refugee trying to learn a new land.

I usually go for silly space adventures like Expeditionary Force but, this was a different kind of science fiction. It had heart and connection and I think it is a great bridge between sci-fi and romance.

I really enjoyed this book but sometimes it got lost in itself. I found out later that the author started this book as a sort of fan fiction, and that vibe does carry over to the finished work

I liked the premise, but I found the writing and overall plot a bit confusing. Wasn't a huge fan of the protagonist, I thought she was a little annoying.

I did appreciate that it made me think about the nuances of assimilation and working within "the system."
