I liked the premise, but I found the writing and overall plot a bit confusing. Wasn't a huge fan of the protagonist, I thought she was a little annoying.
I did appreciate that it made me think about the nuances of assimilation and working within "the system."

Although this was super slow for me, I enjoyed it. It’s a mix of sci-fi fantasy, romantic comedy, time travel and a sprinkle of thriller. A very unique story unlike anything I’ve read in the past.

Such a fun and strange premise, and a fun and strange read. The writing style was enjoyable and I loved(?) the mundaneness of the story as a love story while something deeper simmered underneath.

I thought that sometimes the writer was trying too hard with language, and some metaphors jarred and brought me out of the story. Overall it was enjoyable though.
