Absolutely strange in the best way. There was some great creep factor here and interesting backstory for Bruce. I wouldn't consider this strictly canon, but it is a very interesting book. The more personal a story is, the more I tend to enjoy it. I think this satisfied the desire I had to read a creepy Batman story after Batman The Cult's less than satisfying ending.

One of Morrison's first takes on Batman, and he does a fantastic job. One of the better stories I've read from Legends of The Dark Knight

Loved the aesthetic of this one and even though the story was predictable as hell it was still fun. I'm usually put off when Batman stories leave Gotham but I'll make an exception with this one because it was both brief and interesting.

Rarely does Batman encounter forces as evil as those in Morrison's mature and chilling storyline. A dark and engrossing story that somehow never comes across as either hokey or gratuitous, though Jason's illustration, while fitting for the story's themes, make it difficult to decipher movement in the frantic action scenes.

This is a fantastic Batman detective story and a fine example of some of Grant Morrison's earlier (and less... fantastical) work. Collects Legends of the Dark Knight issues 6 - 10, the second LotDK story arc.
