The main character made some stupid choices to keep the story going, but it didn't bother me much because I expect that in thrillers or horror. Some of the other characters lacked depth, but it was great for a thriller. I did not expect most of the twists, except one.
There were parts at the end that were difficult for me to get through. I got very queasy and had to take a break, I'm very squeamish though. It's possible to push through it and is only a factor at the end.
I read this as a physical book, supported by the audiobook. Single narration was good, she did the different voices well and even slurred well during the hospital scenes.
This was the second Riley Sager book I've read, the other being Survive the Night. I noticed a similarity in the villains-
A little thing that bothered me:
Loved the ending.
Graphic: Fire/Fire injury, Kidnapping, and Medical trauma
Moderate: Death of parent, Torture, and Murder
Minor: Sexual content
Missing/dead sister as well. Mentioned often. The gore isn't that intense, but beware if you're squeamish!rachelunabridged's review against another edition

I thought this book was fantastic. I related to the main character because I KNOW how tough it is to be so financially f***** that you have to make decisions you normally wouldn't. Decisions that are screaming RED FLAG but on the other hand you hear nothing but GREEN MONEY 🤑
I felt the pace was good and I truly had no idea where it was going. Normally I can guess what I think the plot of the story is and I had SOME ideas... But when you get to what's really going on... My mouth dropped! Would definitely recommend reading this, and it has me interested in reading more by Sager. I think I'm going to read "The Only One Left" next and then try to finish the Final Girls Support Group... If it's anything like this one... I know it will be worth picking it back up to read!
Moderate: Suicide, Grief, Kidnapping, Death of parent, Fire/Fire injury, and Murder
