DAMN! MUTHA OF ALL F**KERS This book made me ragey and....
The first half of this book had me fooled. Hot sex! Lovey dovey, enjoying the mystery….then all that gets taken away! Poof! All gone!
Levi and Dominic broke my heart and at the same time I wanted to just spank them. I was happy, angry, sad and everything in-between.
I believe I am not a violent person, but… buuuuut those fight scenes got me all hot and bothered. There is just something about guys beating each other up that gets me like, daaaamn. That stuff is on fire!! Levi is kinda of a psycho and i love him even more.
He launched himself at Dominic again. This time, Dominic evaded several strikes before landing a solid left hook and then slamming his right fist into Levi’s stomach. Levi coughed, doubling over, and then delivered a nasty snap kick.
The mystery in this one was just ok and also made me want to punch everyone involved, that gang war thing was just off and unnecessary. I can’t wait to find out who the SoS is. He/She/Them better be really smart because at the moment, i am finding it hard to believe this, all knowing, all smart, omnipresent 'A' person. At the same time, i love that he/she/ them is obsessed with Levi., it adds some juice to the story.
I can’t express how much I love the writing. CK sure can write. The words flow from page to page, the dialogues are so engaging, the sex is hoooot! and we get some humor too. What more can a girl ask for?
I don't want to read about Dominic's addiction ever! That stuff is fucked up, exhausting and so damn real.
This series has the best diverse characters and best bad-ass women ever. I need more of Rohan, Sawyer, Stanton. CK please give me more stories.
The award for the best supporting character ever goes to.. drum-roll please.. da-da-da-da!!

Levi and Dominic are back! Despite it being a while since book 2 I got right back into the story.
New character FBI profiler Rohan reads 7 and his profile matches Levi to a T! But also most of the law enforcement community.
Dominic’s missing person case leads him right back into his dark side and into hiding it from Levi,
Levi is still mired in the SoS investigation and getting more direct communications from 7.
With a few more truths revealed between Stanton and Levi and Levi and Dom, tensions are rising.
All the while the cross gang issues, LVMPD’s SoS investigation and Dom’s underground gambling and Jessica’s plight are sprialling closer together.
Then bam, it all collides - gangs, drugs, 7, Levi, Dom, kidnapping - all out mayhem and at the end, personal mayhem for Levi and Dom, with 7 stirring up the discord between them even more.
The story ends with them on very shaky ground and Dom well in the sights of 7

Objectively it isn't a bad read. It's relatively fast paced and engaging. It flows well and doesn't draw out scenes to kill time moving to the next plot point.
However.
However it puts the main seven of spades plot line on the back burner and focuses on a new aspect in gang warfare which personally I'm not all that into. I do think Dominic has a character developed more and we got a deeper understanding into his addiction. Levi though. Levi got more and more unlkable as the story went on. That could just be a me problem though

Didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous books. It was all so miserable and frustrating, and the main story wasn't very interesting or entertaining. Hope it gets better from here.

This series continues to be fabulously entertaining and I love to see some of the norms of the genre being challenged a bit. I'm always happy when an author colors outside the lines in a way that makes the story better for it.
