This series is so exciting and so cinematic. It would make an great television series. The author is very talented at writing action scenes—especially hand-to-hand fights.

WELP OMG.
this one had me STRESSED TF OUT! with each book the stakes get higher and damn did they escalate here. i'm legit scared to read the next one. i got theories of who the SOS is. I could be soooo wrong. But the ending makes me wonder if i'm actually maybe right. i have multiple suspects so...i guess we'll see.
Dom pissed me off sooo much in this. I'm sad and angry for him at the same time but mostly angry cuz HOW DARE??? Dom isn't making great choices and I can't give away too much but *cries*
Whew listen with that ending i'm worried about Levi too. everyone is making terrible decisions! but it makes the excitement and trepidation for starting the next book really palpable because what else is gonna go down hill???

3.5 stars. Debated hard on what to rate this and finally fell back on the 'want to read more rate up' vs 'don't want to read more rate down'. I do want to finish out the series so I rated up. BUT!
Ugh. I ABHOR books and really more and more so now in which grown adults don't talk to each other. God, it's soooooo annoying. I know it's an easy way to create drama and I know 99% of the books out there do it, but damn I hate it, so much!
I don't know, maybe it's different with addictions. I don't understand them, so I can't put my head around what he did to hide his actions. That's just not me/my mindset at all. I just know I didn't like it, the book wasn't as enjoyable because of it for me.
But I gotta know more. I love that the killer has been unknown so far. I've had ideas and wanna know if I'm right. Will be disappointed if it's one person, pleased if it's another and probably pissed off if it's the other, because come on. I gotta know!

I bloody loved this. This series is quickly becoming one of my absolute favourites! There was so much going on in this book, but it was all written and handled so well. I just loved it so much and cannot wait for book 4.
P.S. I swear everyone else is saying they know who the seven of spades is so maybe i'm just being super dumb but I honestly have no idea, I feel like i'm just suspicious of everyone.
