Interesting at times, dull at others. This book follows a series of loosely grouped connected anecdotes about the intricacies of back room NFL goingson. It ranges from anti- to pro- league sentiment

ProFootballTalk: The Book.
Florio notes in his acknowledgements how easy it was to write this book. I believe him. This is mostly reworked PFT posts and other scattered opinions.
While I do think Florio is an informed commentator, there is absolutely no substance to any of his chapters. They are just anecdotes and opinions. There’s hardly any data cited or in-depth research noted. (For example, in the “chapter” on the folly of building through free agency, where’s the evidence?) Okay, so you’re not a Moneyball-type of analyst—aren’t you still a lawyer? Where’s the research and reporting?
This covers a lot of ground, but never gets anywhere. A mile wide and an inch deep.
