this wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great either — i think if this were any author other than Halsey any literary editor would have had A LOT of edits. Maybe not rejected it but a lot of the poems in here were rough first drafts that read way too cliche. I think if someone had pushed them a bit more this would’ve improved tenfold. Again, didn’t dislike, just think we shouldn’t let celebrity writers get away with mediocre poetry — if they have the potential make them work for it
