i really liked this!. It’s not all the same and they explored many different themes with this and i found the poems beautiful and actually moving unlike some other poetry i’ve read.

An emotional and complex collection focusing on themes of relationships, family, and trauma. Some really beautiful and powerful poems in here (and even one I recognized from her album!).

Personally, I don’t like poetry.
But this book was harsh and honest and made me feel so many things in a short amount of time.
I think it takes a lot of strenght and bravery to publish a book like this, to be so unapologetically yourself you manage to write a book about all the unfairness of this world.
It is painful and strange. It aches my heart and I hope that she is doing okay

These mostly read as unfinished song lyrics and I’d run out of re-news at the library

Some of these poems are great, but most are just so-so - I think they needed a bit more revision. It feels a bit like a draft book for her songs. Reading this also makes it clear why Halsey's songs are so great - many of her poems left me thinking, "This is mediocre as a poem, but will make a great song!"
