Let me preface by saying I LIKE dark romance books. I've enjoyed MANY taboo books in the past, and I have no issues with the "sibling" factor in this book. But this book gave me the major icks. I apologize if anyone loved this one

Rating is not for the taboo content. I knew what the book would include, that wasn’t the issue. It was just…not great.
The ending felt too easy:
Olivia let off the hook of her “duty” by her parents too easily.
I hoped there would be more story into their background and childhood trauma.
Their adoptive family being so “powerful” was never elaborated on and super unrealistic because of it. Your mom is a judge. She’s not important enough to need to human traffic you into a marriage.
It just wasn’t compelling and the first half felt like it took forever while the second felt over in a flash.
Not enough story to make the spice worth it, more like just an excuse of a story to write those spice scenes. Weak plot that made my interest wane.
Genuinely got tired of all the libido on every other page, it was exhausting. Happy with the ending, though.
The Tearsmith is a much better version of this book (though not spicy like this) so read that instead.

“No. You were mine when we were kids, and you’re mine now. You’ll always be mine.”
What a damn ride.
In true Leigh Rivers fashion, this book is so so good.
Twisted and wild and dark and obviously not for everyone. But my gosh, is it * Chef's Kiss *
it was so bad i want to give it a zero, but that's not possible so i give it a one...
