really didn't like this book but it does have some redeeming qualities

Wow, this one was really a page turner! Better than "Study in Scarlet" and on par with "Hound of the Baskervilles," IMO :-D The villains were truly frightening and the story complicated but not too much so. I really enjoyed the settings—the heart of London, the Thames, India. Reading about late 19th century London is really fascinating. I'd like to visit the city someday :-) As always, Sherlock solves the case, and Scotland Yard gets the credit. Watson has a happier ending than usual though ;-)

In which Sherlock Holmes does Cocaine out of Boredom and Watson catches a case of Insta-love.
