I didn’t really care for the characters and as this is so character focused I just didn’t really get into the book!

3.75 - felt oddly familiar at points - I enjoy hearing about the aspects of others lives and that’s exactly what this was. I found it to be about love. But not necessarily in the traditional romantic partnership sense. More along the lines of we may look for love through romantic partnership, all the while we are surrounded by it in so many ways that we may be taking it for granted without realizing it.

full of internalised and outright homophobia, I'm astonished this book was written and set in 2019. I really gave this a go via audiobook and I did appreciate the different actors per chapter. but it went beyond cringe when one character (supposedly friends?) demanded of the other to know her exact sexuality as if their friendship hinged around it. not cool! I may have kept going to watch the mounting tension resolve in the interwoven storylines but life is short

es war wirklich dreadful. ich kann nicht eine sache nennen, die mir gefallen hat. die charaktere waren so unglaublich flach, und die kapitel-aufteilung hat auch gar nicht funktioniert. es hat glaube ich 70 seiten gedauert, bis ich die protas ansatzweise auseinander halten konnte. queer chick-lit ist eigentlich ein so cooles konzept, aber es wurde einfach miserabel umgesetzt. langweilig und langatmig (obwohl das buch nicht mal 270 seiten hat). wirklich eine reine zeitverschwendung, mehr nicht!
