This is the first time I have read anything by Anne Brontë. I feel like the Brontë sisters must have had some really tragic love stories. If the love interests end up together, they always have to go through some pretty tragic circumstances. Maybe this was true to their lives?

La inquilina de Wildfell Hall fue un libro que logró un módico exito y mucho escándalo en su aparición. La opinión general era unánime: el tema no se correspondía con el de una mujer virtuosa. ¿Qué tema? En resumen, el feminismo.

También toca temas de alcoholismo, adicciones y juegos de azar y de apuestas. Todo ello, además, en un estilo directo y elaborado, sincero pero sonoro, combinando la importancia de transmitir con claridad con la sensibilidad de una novelista impresionante.
