Beta Read.
You know, Charming the Devil was more of a slow burn. But this is his daughter, Mara’s, story…and that b turns it up to level 11. Full of spice and hot steam, I also found myself laughing out loud and ONE TIME I CRIED, THANKS SARAH. The story was more than just some steam.
Honestly Mara’s character is batshit unhinged. But throughout the story we get to see more and more her insecurities and past trauma, and she starts to make sense. She’s really a well-written and layered character, with more complexities than I anticipated for an erotic, why-choose, dark-ish comedy.
Each of Mara’s men fit her in different ways. Toth, a total asshole and her favorite person to fight with; Elvor, the adoring and silent Daddy who hates everyone else but her and Judd; and Judd, the literal sweetest Demon you’ll ever meet. Somehow they all fit together to create a fucked-up yet happy found family.
Charming As Hell may have just become my favorite of Sarah’s books, and that’s saying a lot because I will cut a bitch for a hockey romance. But…just…yeah…it’s that good.

Total junk food. I was bamboozled in a moment of pure boredom to read the first of the series and found them so silly and fun that I had to keep reading. Would I recommend? Absolutely not. Was it a great time? Absolutely yes.
