This collection contains more than 30 enthralling new retellings of favorite myths as well as some you might not have heard before! Including Theseus and the Minotaur, The 12 labors of Herakles, and the escapades of Jason and the Argonauts, each myth is told in engaging modern language, which is easy for children to understand yet still retains the humor and intrigue of the original tales, breathing new life into each classic story.
I borrowed the audiobook on Libby. I enjoyed listening to this. I’m new to Greek Mythology and I’ve been really interested in it lately so I’ve been reading Greek literature or books about Greek Mythology. I don’t know anything about it but I feel like I learned so much from reading this book. After reading this book, I want to read more about Greek Mythology. I would recommend this book if you’re new to Greek Mythology like me and want to learn about it.

I basically took a point away for the book not featuring Hecate. 😜 Some tales are also, ahem, given a bit of moral white-washing, because it's meant for children, which made me smile even though I realise there's a valid reason for it. 🙃 Otherwise yes, it is a lovely, and prettily illustrated compendium of Greek mythology, and was quite the cozy read for this inveterate mythology nerd.
