She had a lot of really good points but the point was lost so many times that by the end I could barely remember what it was in the first place. This would have come across much better as a series of essays

I hadn't read this before the Women's Prize for fiction was announced, so after it won, I was keen to get to it.  I'd read other shortlist books and really enjoyed, so assumed this was better than the ones I had enjoyed.  How wrong I was.  The idea for the book comes from confusion between the author and Naomi Woolf.  I found the book started with several chapters on how awful the non-author Naomi was  - and whilst this may well be true -  I wasn't prepared for the level of attack from one author to another.  Whilst it may be her perspective on various topics, the tone did not encourage me that all the points made were fully researched from various angles.  It simply came across as wrestling match from one Naomi to another.
