Dragons? Assassins? Secrets? Sign me up!!

This book has all the things I love but for some reason I was quite apprehensive to read this one when it was picked for our Bookclub read this month. I think that came as a result of many of the ‘popular’ books I’ve read recently having felt very similar to other books I’ve read in the past. I think that a lot of authors are writing similar books to the ones that become best sellers, because of the fact that those tropes/genres sell well over truly writing something that they themself believe in (but of course that makes sense as it’s their job), leaving the result feeling half baked sometimes

Yeah, it was ok. 
I like the dragons and the world but I found the characters so irritating. 
I finished it but kind of wish I’d not bothered cause it’s not finished anyway! Frustrating!
