I have so many questions that I need answered and I just don’t know how to feel about the fact that we have to wait until 2026 for the second book to come out. I am desperate.
There’s so much information but at the same time so little that it did feel a tiny bit confusing.
Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed it.
The characters are beautifully executed with a ton of personality traits that make all of them unique, even the secondary ones. The past of both Raeve and Kaan is (even if with its small mysteries we have to keep discovering) truly remarkable and their romantic relationship unbelievably heartbreaking.
The yearning utterly unmatched and the angst had my heart strings stretching so hard I was scared of my emotional well being.
Talking about well being, I was NOT doing well with the plot and world building around the dragons. Omg like can we humans, or in this case, folk not exist at all so dragons can roam the skies peacefully?
Every Saebersythe, Moltenmaw and Moonplume should be a happy creature and should be able to enjoy life. Fuck people! (Sorry, I get very protective over animals)
That being said, great story, maybe a little bit stretched out? A style of writing that personally took getting used to but definitely worth doing so. Beautiful world and setting, great character work and obviously worth keeping up with the series.
Also “Moonbeam”? Okay yeah, consider me deceased.

I don't even know where to start. This book has my favorite trope and it executes it beautifully with such pretty writing. The prose are everything. I'm so excited to move on to the next one.

I mean, I’ve definitely read spicier spice than this, in the sense of like “kinkier” or “raunchier” but I mean, this spice! I finished this hours ago and I am somehow still kind of breathless. And the emotion! My heart hurts. Plot twisty and gorgeous and like…wow.
3.5 ⭐️ Rounded up to 4
Mixed feelings on this one. Full RTC.
Post Read bulletin points:
- Excellent world building
- incredible character development
- loads of questions and mysteries to keep one reading.
- intriguing plot line and interesting premise
- really good build up to an end that just fell woefully short. So many questions were left unanswered in favor having last minute spice instead.

The FMC has an almost annoyingly kid like banter and attitude but if you can get past the cheesy one liners and cheesy curse words the story really develops! The yearning is what is keeping me in the game as well as some plots holes i would like to see develop. The fantasy world does seem somewhat complicated which i hope gets ironed out in the next book. The romance is slow burn (at least to me) and i really do look forward to seeing some of the FMC's past come to light to see how she got to her present day state.

This book was amazing. I’m only sad because the sequel isn’t out for another six months.
