wow! such a thought provoking book!! i learned so much while reading this, such niche history it taught me about! grimalkin literally had his own attitude and character development , i loved reading his thoughts omg this little book was so fun and i loved this author! loved seeing how the way speaking changes throughout the decades this was so cool and i was so intrigued. making me think if my house has its own eilidh and grimalkin

This was a fine story. There were some great elements, but I do wish that some of the snippets had been a little longer and delved more into something with a little bit more substance when combining historic details. It was short, easy read.
I wanted to like this story about a cat who accidentally gets to live his remaining 8 lives as a ghost in Edinburgh, Scotland, but it was so boring. It feels like a research paper where someone tried to move through decades in Scotland using a cat as a vehicle to do so. I read half of it, and the plot is too thin to make me want to go on. It's a concept novel with no substance.

The cat was a bit pompous (I suppose it IS a cat…), but it was a cute story! Unique premise, with fun little snippets of history thrown in.
