This was a weird one. Totally dug it, though. Well told and original storytelling. Kinda Mexican Gothic-meets-Judas and the Black Messiah-meets-Venom-meets-The Vanishing Half-meets-Their Eyes Were Watching God. Sorta. Loved the queer and Lakota rep (pleasantly surprised with the accuracy there). Stick it out - you won’t regret it!

I loved the plot of this book and I enjoyed the characters. Some of the more spicy scenes felt a little out of place but it was over all very good.
