Wow, just wow. So dark and good. Really has things to say with the most intriguing things happening throughout. Just... I live to find these sorts of books. I cannot even describe it. It was very dark so might recommend looking at trigger warnings if that is your kind of thing. So very good. My god.

having pre-ordered this, i had anticipated that it would be good, like fae's other books. i did not expect it to be as incredible, heartbreaking, revolutionary, as it is.
i adore vern, and howling, and feral, and gogo, and bridget, and imo these characters are alive and living off the grid somewhere, and i'm happy with that.
to be honest, i have no words. it was amazing. horror, fantasy, cult, history, family, culture, love, loss, reality. incredible.

Couldn’t get pass the logical issues.
It makes no sense that the children would act / know things like they did given their growing up with only forest life exposure and their mother who is described as rarely talking to them.
