“You just can't differentiate between a robot and the very best of humans."

Overall, I really enjoyed this, especially once I realized it's a collection of stories told by a robot psychologist. There were some stories that she told that I enjoyed more than others. I listened to the audiobook read by Scott Brick (a narrator I enjoy listening to) and while he did a great job, it certainly reads as something written in 1950 if only for it's view on how fast technology would progress (the first taking place in '98 and the last in 2052) . It would be interesting to see Asimov's laws of robotics applied in other sci-fi like Altered Carbon or Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep (which was another Scott Brick narration). I also wonder how much society will look to Asimov when we inevitably develop human-like robots.

"...the three Rules of Robotics are the essential guiding principles of a good many of the world’s ethical systems."

I've now piqued my curiosity and will read more Asimov books in the near future. I also now would like to watch the movie adaptation.

I find a lot of Asimov's books to be dry and academic. Short stories about robots, from primitive non-speaking ones to universal robots that run society. Each story is a mystery, with a robot acting irrationally or against its programming, and the scientists and robo-psychologist have to figure out why they are acting up. It got repetitive after awhile.
