Esperaba algo más de esta novela. Pienso que está exagerado el hype.
emotional lighthearted sad

I'm going to be real and let y'all know the marketing of the movie adaptation of this book convinced me I needed to read another CoHo book. And those are sins that the Paramount Pictures team must repay, mark my words!

4.5/5 ⭐️

Another CoHo banger on the books. Having just read Things We Never Got Over which was the worst & way too long CoHo wanna-be I’ve ever read, this was an incredible read. The major twist of the book came as a surprise to me (I never read the summary of books so I’m not sure if there’s a spoiler for it there) and I love a good twist 15% in. Once the hospital scene happened, I was hooked. For the most part I read this in a day and absolutely could not set it down.

*spoilers ahead*

Morgan and Clara have such a frustrating relationship. Until FINALLY Clara knows her mom isn’t the cheater, I kind of hated her character. Because Morgan is such a good person, it hurt to watch her suffer from her angsty child. I loved their dynamic. I LOVED Clara and Miller too.

The only character I wasn’t crazy about was the background with Jonah. I feel like I maybe needed a little more there between him and Morgan, though I understand for both of them it was limited by fear. I loved the way the story was laid out, and I thought the beginning of the book was so clever.

Just another reason why I love Colleen Hoover.

Uh I love uncle Jonah and Miller so much!! The ending is 10/10

Read bc it’s getting turned into a movie. Tandem/immersive read on KU (so cool that it highlights the part being read and flips the page automatically)

It follows two POV’s - the 16 year old daughter Clara and the 34 year old mom Morgan. I was definitely into Morgan’s storyline more and kept wanting to know what was gonna happen. If it was just Morgan’s storyline, it probs could have been 5 stars. Clara’s storyline was very typical high school, so if it was just Clara’s storyline, it would have been 3 stars, so I’m settling on a 4 star rating.

Overall, it had its cute moments but nothing super memorable about it. I like the cast of the movie so I can’t wait to see it! Maybe I’ll wait until it’s out of the theater tho.

AMAZING!!! I cried and I laughed.
My new favourite Colleen Hoover book.
