i don’t agree with everything Beattie has to say but i do agree codependency is a problem in my life and the lives of many others. and i think her individualistic solution can work for some people but may not be right or even possible for people who need to navigate a more complex space of finding “undependence” as she calls it and still being very dependent for whatever reasons

not me finding out i have low self-worth. no truly, fantastic book. this is the kind of book you just need to go over multiple times in order to work on each issue or flag you’ve noticed about yourself. so great.
