This book is a bit difficult—because it is very old. The story is alright if you want to dig for it. Jane is a good character, but the rest of them are not the most lovable.

A good book for if you want to see the perspective of a girl who grew up from nothing but still thrives in making herself happy

I have to say, I much prefer Charlotte to Emily. I can say that as I have read an equal amount of books by each (yes, I am aware Emily has only one published work).

I didn't like the narrator, and so much shit happens to Jane... I wasn't in the right space for that.
