Review to follow soonish - maybe... Wanted to get into the book again, and skimmed parts of it (today is July 15th, 2017, so going on nearly a year after reading it). Cannot really remember anything, and the fact that I did not read nor even buy the next book in the series is proof to me I did not really like it. Going through the reviews of others, they are mostly love it or hate it reviews, with varying degrees.
Guess, it was ok, but did not like it enough, so not recommended, there are sure better ones. When no other books from this author are recommended to me, I will probably not read the author again.

I put this book on my DNF shelf. It was so so slow, and it lost my attention. I stopped reading at 100 page mark, hoping by then it would be better, but alas it wasn’t.

Imagine if this were a movie. Never in my life have I read such an amazing young adult paranormal book. Sure, there were a lot, but what sets this aside from the others is how well-written and entertaining this was. And all of the supernatural put together in one camp? Give me a popcorn and I'll finish this book in no time.
Such a unique and entertaining book. I loved reading this!

This has got to be one of my most absolute favorite series of all time!! I adore the characters and the easy flow of scenarios going on in the book. I LOVE the banter and comic reliefs!!! They make my heart laugh. :D there is no series with better ice breakers and laughter as deep as this series. <3 my sides hurt long after I move on from a certain scene's ice breaker. They never get old!! ;D and this is just the first book of a five book series filled with laughs, love, and life changing experiences. you simply can't help but fall for every aspect of this series!!

It was a fun story. Had I read this in middle or high school I could see this being a comfort read that I come back to. You can tell it was written in the 2000s era so be prepared for a slower pacing, multiple books that could be condensed, and the 2000s writing pattern.

Born at Midnight is a great start for a new series. It has everything paranormal from vampires to faeries to witches. I really like the camp she was sent too. Im excited to read the next book in this series because I think it has the potential to get really good. I feel like there is alot more to learn about the main characters that I didnt get to learn in Born at Midnight.
