I've had this book on my Goodreads tbr since 2017. Was cleaning it out and decided to give the audiobook a try.
So glad I did.
This was a tragic story regarding 2 families who went through a lot and tried to find their way back to a happy/content ending. You just want to hug them all individually and wrap em up in a blanket like a burrito so that they are safe from themselves, each other, the outside world, all of it.
My heart goes out to Peter the most and his chapters probably made me tear up a few times.
Definitely recommend for those looking for a book surrounding generational trauma, unresolved conflict, happy endings.

It wasn't bad, realistic and touching at time. However in the overall the story was too long and I found it hard to sympathise with the characters.

Too character driven for my taste, although I still found it hard to get invested in the characters. I started it to fulfill a 1970's challenge prompt, but it seems that only about 10% is set in the 70's.
