The Christina Lauren team has again blown in out of the water. I know I have found my new favorite author. After the first two books (plus novellas) completely captivated me, I thought for sure the 3rd book wasn't going to do it for me. Usually 3rd books are really terrible in my opinion. This one was not at all terrible. In fact, it left me wanting more. I will definitely be reading all of the Christina Lauren backlist.

I DNFed this book because a 23-year-old was checking out a 16-year-old. This is all I have to say.

emotional funny

4.5

was this ~objectively~ one of christina lauren’s best book? no. but it was fun as hell. the spice slayed, and the relationship was so sweet. i love when a man is just completely bewildered by a woman. and will was definitely bewildered. i did have a few problems tho:
- sometimes will was sexist (i honestly barely minded tho)
- the first sex scene at her parents’ house felt kinda coercive
- they def would have gotten in trouble for skipping work without saying anything

Still 5 Stars!

10 years out and this still holds strong!

The ultimate bachelor Will Sumner falls hard, and what a wild and oh so sexy read this was! Unf!

Humor, explicitness, and feels! What more could I ask for except for CLo to return to their roots?! Pretty please with a cherry on top?

"I wasn't going to bring up the relationship thing again because you'd determined I was incapable of it in the first place."

There were lots of funny parts and I liked the characters, even the minor ones. The only thing I didn't like a little bit was Hanna. There were times I was just so annoyed at her. Overall, the book was great and it exceeded my expectations.

Oh man, this book is filthy! And sweet, so sweet.

Hanna is a STEM girl who has let time slip by and doesn't know how to, well...date. At the urging of her concerned brother who doesn't want her to be alone anymore, she reconnects with her brother's best friend Will and asks him to teach her the ropes. Will is a playboy, but when a very adult Hanna--not the little girl he remembers from growing up--comes to him, he can't refuse her. Except, the more time he spends with her, the more he starts to fall for the woman she's become.

Hanna discovering her sexuality and Will's patience with her as she decides what she truly wants was such an endearing and sexy good time. The two of them fit so well together, it just takes a while for them to both get on the same page, and I loved every angsty, unsure, and dirty moment.
