The main concepts are 4-5 stars but the book was repetitive and dragged with too many stories. Dropped rating also because of stories with police violence.
Moderate: Police brutality

It's been awhile since I read this book, but I still remember key points like study where you will be tested and that forgetting information is actually a good thing because it causes you to learn and explore the information even more. It's a very interesting read and I highly recommend it.

This book was absolutely amazing. It is full of insightful information not only about how we learn, but it also goes into great detail about the different strategies out there and how to use them to learn better, and faster, and retain information longer. This is a must read for any teacher, or scholar, or person who just wants to improve their learning skills.

Great and applicable research on learning, but I think it can be a bit redundant at times. The core of the text is excellent, though.

Could do without some of the stories. It seems poorly edited. But it's got some key messages for me
1. SPRINT - spaced repetition, reflection, interleaving
2. Growth mindset - believe that abilities and intelligence can be improved significantly
3. When learning is a bit harder, it's more likely to stick, so self quiz often.
