I FREAKING ADORE THIS BOOK!

Hailey Rogers, you absolute sorceress of ~DOWN BAD MMCs~ & yes, you did it again!! Zoe Calson & Chase Walton had sneaked up on me in Seal the Deal that made me crave for them to somehow have their HEA, so this was an Anticipated read with capital A!

You know how I ❤ ️ BANTERS!! THE BANTER?A MASTERCLASS. It’s like watching two champions playing **verbal badminton** (yes, I’m sticking with this metaphor—ice hockey who?, (we dont have ice hockey here, so I don't know how the rules of ice hockey, no matter how many hockey romances i’ve read) Every serve, every smash, every "oh no you didn’t" comeback had me GIGGLING, KICKING MY FEET, AND keeping me at the edge of my bed.

The Banters are precise, funny, sweet, endearing, loud, spicy & HOT! We all know Zoe & Chase can DELIVER!

- Zoe’s sass?Legendary!
- Chase’s relentless, years-long pining? Such a DEVASTATING puppy
- Their chemistry? OFF THE CHARTS, might as well SET THE ELEVATOR ON FIRE

The chemistry between FMC and MMC is absolutely delicious. Their banter is fun, when things get serious the story just GRIPS you. The spice is fantastically written-- I swear I was blushing. I didn't have a chance to read the first in the series, but it didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. But, after meeting the team and the friend group, I'm definitely putting aside some time to read about Jake and Charlie.

Zoe and Chase….man. I’ll be honest I liked the first book, but I didn’t love it, however I LOVED this one.

Zoe the bad bish that you are, girl was so well written, so strong. I loved her. The banter between her and chase was top tier.

Chaseeeee this man, gah. He was for Zoe right from the beginning, man knew what he wanted and went for it! he paid attention to all the details and showed her he loved her through all of his actions.

This was so well written, it had depth, banter, spice, and angst. A great romance

Quotes:
"And if I let myself want him, he could be careless with me, to. Except... he never has been."

"I've been in love with Zoe for years. Quietly. Pathetically. In that aching, too-scared-to-act-ont-it kind of way."

💁🏻‍♀️ Zoe is our FMC. She is independent, quick witted, and guarded. Zoe is the PR manager for Storm the hockey team. She recently lost someone important to her and has since locked up her heart.

💁‍♂️ Chase is our MMC. He is charismatic, loyal, and confident. Chase is a hockey player on the Storm team. He is and has been head over heels for Zoe.

After a video of Chase is leaked, Zoe a team of lawyers and other important people from Storm brain Storm a solution. The solution is for Zoe to fake date Chase to change the narrative into something positive for Chase's image. The story starts here...

☺️ BANTER. All the best freaking banter! Chase is just cocky enough and over the moon for Zoe. Zoe is sassy and guarded. The two together making the banter SO funny. This book had me laughing out loud and kicking my feet just waiting waiting for Zoe and Chase to say F*** it and be together! ...And the spice was 🥵. Chase has a dirty mouth in all the right ways.

I highly recommend this hilarious and spicy read! Make the Play is OUT NOW!
