I think the suspense building of this book could be improved and I feel like that’s where it fell flat for me.
The first half is really slow and builds up as to the mystery between the dual POV and what the list could possibly mean to Beth, but it was frustrating when all is revealed as to why it took so long for her to put the pieces together.

The ending felt really rushed in my opinion and a lot happened in the last few chapters with a lot of loose ends being left. There was a lack of development with certain characters which just felt like storylines were being pulled out of thin air for the sake of it.

What in the hell did I just read. In one sitting. In 4 hours. Cover to cover. Wow. No words for how intensely scary this was. I slowly unraveled all the points of view we were being fed, thinking I was keeping on top of it, only to still never get the final clue until it was too late. Insane read, terrifying and I shall now continue on to a romance book to lighten the mood. Gives very much Silent Patient vibes.

I picked up this book on a whim and definitely wasn’t disappointed. Right from the start I was hooked and started making guesses to the next plot twist and when still I gasped at the reveal. I will be picking up more work from this author for sure as I now have high expectations

This book made me think of reading R.L. Stine books and watching I Know What You Did Last Summer as a teenager.

It wasn’t necessarily scary, but was twisty enough that I was interested. The age suggested to read this book is 18+, but I think it would be okay for a younger reader, as long as they were mature enough to handle the circumstances.
