I found Fall For Me to be a very quick read. This was my first time reading a novel that had incorporated both angels and vampires into its storyline, and the result was quite interesting. I also admit that this was my first time reading a noticeably Australian novel, in that I was able to tell that the characters were Australian due to certain vocabulary used (i.e. saying "esky" instead of portable cooler, or "bitumen" instead of asphalt). So not only did I get to picture Australian accents on the characters, I got to pick up some new vocab words as well!

I think that my favorite character in this novel was Seth, as he was the most complicated. Seth was an angel like Grace, but he fell, and now spends most of his time on Earth attending the same school that Grace does. He also has a way of getting under her skin, and has even been known to work with vamps. I'm actually hoping that Seth ends up getting his own point of view told at some point in the later novels, as this first book alternated only between Grace and Josh.

Kudos to Ms. Last for combining angels and vampires in one story - she really made the idea fit well. If there was any downside to this novel, however, it may have been that I did not find myself growing attached to any of the characters. None, really (despite my interest in wanting to know more about Seth). I don't know why that was, but for some reason I just felt like the characters were all pretty distant, which was unfortunate as it kept me from really getting into the story. I also saw insta-love in regards to Grace and Josh, which is why I found myself actually disliking Josh and hoping for more development with Seth instead, who seemed to have some more depth. Can't stand insta-love!

I don't think I'll read this again, since I didn't care for the characters, and thus never really got into the story. 2 Stars

I was given this book to read for an honest opinion and into Chapter 1, I started and thought oh no, not another book where the characters are going to talk to me. I was pleasantly surprised when I found myself falling easily into the story of Grace and Josh. I didn’t even mind that the every few chapters the book switched between their points of views.
I identified mostly with Grace as in my mind she is the true main character in this particular book. I loved her butt kicking abilities, special powers but mostly it was her vulnerability that captured my heart. This after all is a story of a girl, a special girl who has to make decisions based on what she believes to be the right course of action and then deal and live with the consequences.
Grace’s struggles throughout this book are the same as ours, and for this reason it hits home.
Do we do the right thing regardless of the consequences?
Do we stick up for those that cannot?
Will we allow ourselves to fall in love?
Will we allow ourselves to be vulnerable?
Do we forgive ourselves and those that have hurt our hearts?
Can we ever trust after a broken heart?
And can we allow love to heal the brokenness?
Would I recommend this book? With a resounding YES! I enjoyed it, and I am now a K.A.Last fan eagerly awaiting “Fight For Me”. My next quest is to find these in hardback to add to my personal stash of books.

I’m not generally a huge fan of YA books. The storyline in most of them are carbon copies of each other with variances only in the settings. So when I started this book, I dreaded the idea of déjà vu. Luckily for me, as I began reading, I was pleasantly surprised by the author’s ability to take your standard YA blueprint and change it just enough to create an exciting and unique paranormal world that stands out as wonderfully different.

The three main characters in this book, Grace, Seth and Josh, are in the midst of a love triangle, similar to that of the characters of Twilight. And although I couldn’t help but chuckle at the idea of future readers arguing over whether they’d be on Team Seth or Team Josh, I can honestly say that while similar, their story has a life of its own. Their romance is brilliantly written, and I must give kudos to the author for creating YA characters that don’t make me angry, annoy me, or bore me. Instead, I have found myself loving Grace and feeling just as torn as she does between Seth and Josh.

This book has plenty of twists and turns with moments that will shock you and leave you eagerly anticipating the next chapter of what has started out as a wonderful series. You will get lost in this fantastic world and may even end up feeling incredibly sad that you’ve had to leave… I know I did! Whether you’re a lover of YA, or a scorned former YA reader like me, this book is delightfully fun and exciting. I absolutely cannot wait to find out what the author has in store for us next!

First off, i would strongly recommend you to read the prequel to this called "Sacrifice". It gives you the background to the two angels in this book.

Ive read a few reviews on this. Mostly good but there was one i read that was extremely harsh and what came to mind was that the reader seemed to forget it was fiction.

There are times when the storyline does seem a bit...jumped into, but it doesn't stop the enjoyment of the book.

Grace is an angel. Her mission for the last 150 years has been to be born as part of a twin as a protection angel, and her twin brother being a hunter - of vampires. This had been a great arrangement for so long, but all of a sudden Grace starts to question a few things and wonder whether what "They" say is right or not.

Seth is another angel - but hes fallen. And has been keeping tabs on Grace for the whole time shes been on this mission. They're both at the age of 17 on Earth, so they have to deal with the usual things a 17 year old has - hormones, school, friends - as well as Grace's mission and her brothers hunting. She cant forgive Seth for his actions when he fell (again, this is when the prequel will explain what and hows!)

I don't want to write too much as theres so many stories weaved in that have an effect on the outcome.

I think its pretty well written. A few times my jaw dropped, i smiled, i almost shed a tear or two (which, wow, i haven't done for a while!), and the usual frustration when there was a cliffhanger at the end, and i HAVE to read this when it is released, i need to know what happens to Grace, Seth and the other characters!!

Okay, WOW!!!
I really really enjoyed this novel, more than I thought I would!
This book's concept is a great mix of paranormal and romance and was a well-written story with many twists and turns that left me guessing until the end. It raises above all vampire/angel stereotype. The author wrote in an effortless manner, which allowed events in the novel unfold by themselves.
I enjoyed reading the POVs of Grace, Josh, Seth, and Archer; it will keep you enraptured as the pages turn. Each chapter follows the thoughts of the characters and the situations they are in. The characters are well described and are in the midst of a love triangle, which was probably one of my favorite elements in the novel.
Fall For Me is a great captivating story which was really hard to put down and finishing this novel has left me anticipating the sequel! It's definitely a MUST READ!

Fall For Me was a mix between the vampire diaries and fallen. It took me the first chapter to figure out that I wouldn't like it but I wanted to give it the benefit of doubt and now I have regrets. There's nothing noteable about this book. The characters, romance(s), friendships, plot and plot twists fell flat. I think everything happens in less than two weeks and hence the development (or lack thereof) is extremely rushed. Also, this love triangle made me roll my eyes every two seconds (Girl literally fell in love twice in a week??) Not to forget that, Grace was such a one dimensional protagonist. The friendships in the book are so weak and the characters turn their backs on each other so fast without understanding or weighing the reality of the situation. However, if you liked fallen or even hush hush, I'd recommend this book.

This is like the perfect mix of my favorite things: angels & vampires. This book is a twist on the standard angels we are used to seeing.

Grace is a pure soul. She's good all the way through, and she usually makes the right decision. After many years of being a Protection Angel she's tired of all the rules. Grace has a great group of friends around her. Josh is dealing with his only struggles. He has to deal with a tragedy that's happened in his past. There are plenty of moments I want to strangle this guy! But only because he makes boneheaded guy decisions. Seth is another character that proves to be a nuisance a lot of the time. He's broody, and dark, and hot. So naturally, I'm all about Seth. He meets all my angel requirements. :P Each of these characters strengths and weaknesses add to the story.

Fall For Me is fast paced, and there's always a bit of action. I mean you can't have a novel about a Vampire Hunter, and there not be action. ;) We also get quite a bit of love, deception, and friendship. Drama seems to follow this group everywhere. You don't really know who's trying to do the right thing. I always love a little bit of mystery. You also find yourself standing with those that you didn't think you'd want anywhere near you.

Overall, this is a good book. If you like angels and vampires, and are looking for something different, then definitely check this out.

Can I add one more star to this one please? Thank you!

So, at first I was not that into it - which is why it took me a while to finish it because once you 'get' it you can't put it down! I don't really know why, maybe because my mind is in vampire/angels overload lately but once you get it OMFG.

I just can't even start to describe all the feels but it went beyond anything I imagined so yeah, I'm so glad to find out that no matter how many of these books I read, there's still something out there that will surprise me and it will raise my standards even higher if that is possible.

I am trying to figure out if I simply don't like books with angels, or I just haven't yet came across a good angel book! I've struggled through Halo, Hush Hush made me vomit, and this one was just blah! So I don't know, maybe it's me, or maybe it's the books!

I don't know what came over me when I decided to sign up for this blog tour and review Fall For Me. I guess I wanted to try another book about angels to see if I would like it since I am well known to dislike a lot of angel books. The description sounded good and I love the cover but that's also everything I liked about this book unfortunately.

Once again, I hate to rate books so low because I know how much work authors have put into it but I can't help that I really disliked Fall For Me. I was so frustrated by the whole book and just wanted it to be over. That's never a good sign. The things that frustrated me with this book the most were some of the characters, the writing and the overall story. So, yeah, a lot.

I really disliked the characters in who's point of view the story was written. So, Grace and Josh. They were just so hard to read about. I couldn't relate to them at all. I disliked Josh the most because it took him like five seconds to move on from dumping his girlfriend which who he had been with for three years to go falling for Grace. That was the start of my dislike for him and believe me the list goes on and on with him. Secondly, Grace, at first I liked her because she could kick ass but overall she was just to naive and she kept jumping from Josh to Seth every page or so. That's the last thing I want. This whole love triangle was just horrible. Luckily the rest of the characters weren't too horrible to read about but maybe that was because it wasn't written in their point of view? Who knows.

The writing was really weak to me. I couldn't like it at all. I really wish I did but it was just too poorly written for me to like. The dialogue also was very dull. I couldn't help being bored at times. The scenes were too rushed. When one thing happened in the next they had moved on to another scene. No. Just no.

I also disliked the story in its whole. Angels and vampires thrown together? I don't know. Feels weird to me and I didn't like the whole concept of it anyway.

The only good things that were there were some of the other characters like Seth, Charlotte, Archer Ryan and Emma. Seth was my favorite but I have a thing for the bad boys and he's a fallen angel so it's no wonder I liked him. Yes, Seth was all right. And sexy. Very sexy. As for the others. I would've liked to see chapter in their points of view rather than Grace and Josh. Especially Charlotte and Archer. She was by far the most interesting (after Seth) to read about. And I loved her with Archer. I want to know Charlotte's backstory for sure. Ryan and Emma. I loved that they got together. Ryan is hilarious and actually reminds me of someone. But anyway it wasn't meant to be I guess. Something unexpected happened there which made me very sad but it was a good turn of events so I gotta give the author bonus points on that.

And what was up with these vampires? So lame. Sorry, but vampires are very dear to me and they have to be written well. I don't know anything about them. Why would angels battle the vampires? I just don't get it. *sigh*

Overall this book was disappointing to me although I had expected not to like it. I feel that sadly I would not recommend it to anyone due to the poor writing and colorless main characters and story that never captured my attention.
