Interesting, amusing and easy to read short stories.
As a Pratchett fan I enjoyed some of the ideas and themes that are expanded on in later discworld novels.

Many funny and absurd stories. Easy book to just pick up and read through a story in a few pages. Curious about how they looked on the original format as some of the stories were split into multiple parts in the papers. First book I read by the author and I'm open to return to more books
relaxing medium-paced

I didn't expect much from this little book. I just wanted to read some more Pratchett. But I was pleasantly surprised. Not only by the quirkiness and sheer fun of some of the stories, but also by the excellent audiobook narration. A large cast of excellent narrators (except for the narrator of The Quest for the Keys. I was looking forward to that story, but it was let down by a narrator who thinks that having the same voice for all characters is ok in 2023).

All it all, it's a great way to enjoy some more of Terry's work.

This was a fun lighthearted read. Being my first Terry Pratchett experience I can understand why hes so popular. Witty, funny, satirical and very very creative. Pratchett's writing reminded me of Douglas Adams and the Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. I enjoyed this collection and it made me want to check out more of his material in the future but that's about it. Fun while it lasted but I will probably never return to this book. 3.5/5

This was a really easy and fun read. One immediately knows that one's reading early-Pratchett and the wit and quirks are clearly evident from the get-go. I especially liked "How it all began" and "How Scrooge saw the spectral light"
